Schools' Green Audit Award

The Singapore Environment Council (SEC) is giving out awards to schools that participate in its "How Green is Your School" programme.

Mrs Selva, our vice-principal is receiving the award on behalf of our school from Mr. Howard Shaw the chairman of Singapore Environmnetal Council.

Here is a pictorial tour of Mayflower Secondary School -- A garden in bloom.

Mayflower Secondary School has been awarded the Hibiscus Award for the year 2007.

A quite corner for Mayflowerian to rest and recreate.

Knowledge is like a garden; if it is not cultivated, it cannot be harvested.

I THINK that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the sweet earth's flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.
